Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Technical Implementation Consultant to lead Oracle Indirect Tax integration projects. You will serve as the primary integration interface with client tax professionals, translate requirements into design documentation, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver end-to-end solutions.

The role requires deep Oracle experience, including ERP and integrations with external tax engines, strong troubleshooting skills, and ability to map business

Qualifications

  • Must have technical experience implementing ORACLE and/or Add-on Solutions with external tax engines.
  • 5+ years of work experience with at least 3 of those years working with ORACLE ERP.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Must have technical experience implementing ORACLE and/or Add-on Solutions.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues caused when multiple add-ons are installed.
  • Must be skilled in troubleshooting and resolving ORACLE system issues.
  • Should have experience with process analysis, design, mapping, and re-engineering.
  • Should have experience with process/software gap analysis and resolution.
  • Should have experience creating and executing test cases and test scripts.
  • Working in the ORACLE application.
  • Oracle Programming capabilities.
  • Knowledge of APIs, Webservices (SOAP & REST), xml
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Up to 10% of travel is expected

Responsibilities

  • Execute personal work within a controlled project management environment.
  • Work with Pre-sales on prospects and bid development.
  • Collaborate with functional & technical colleagues to deliver the implementation.

About the Role

In the role of Senior Technical Implementation Consultant, you will:

  • Serve as a primary integration interface with client tax professionals

  • Engagement with other Thomson Reuters teams as appropriate to deliver end to end Indirect Tax integration solutions

  • Explain ONESOURCE Integration for ORACLE related issues/problems and solutions to non-tax & technical staff
  • Work with clients to translate their tax policy into ONESOURCE integration solutions
  • Work with Product and Engineering teams in growth of the product and solutions

About You

You are a fit for the role of Senior Technical Implementation Consultant if you have:

  • Must have technical experience implementing ORACLE and/or Add-on Solutions with external tax engines

Highly Desirable Skills (not required)
  • Tax and Financial:
    • Experience configuring transaction taxes and related master data within ORACLE
    • Experience with integrating third party enterprise tax products (e.g. ONESOURCE Determination, ONESOURCE Compliance, Avalara, Sovos, CCH, Sabrix, Taxware and/or Vertex) is highly desirable
    • Financial work experience or related degree
  • Technical:
    • Ability to write/modify existing integration software and integrate software applications and modules in accordance with agreagreed-uponed upon specifications, created in partnership with others
    • Create and execute unit testing ensuring software meets requirements
    • Object Oriented Programming
  • ORACLE Certification
