Job summary

Noblis MSD seeks experienced Technical Editors to lead documentation efforts for Navy afloat and ashore tactical networks. You will edit, review, and supervise creation of manuals, IETMs, and S1000D publications for ADNS, CANES, ISNS, and related systems.

The Senior Technical Editor ensures quality across work programs, coordinating with engineers and logisticians while maintaining strict DoD documentation standards and schedules. This role requires a DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years creating/editing technical materials or Master's with 1 year.
Experience supervising technical writing teams.
Active DoD Secret clearance.
US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Edit, review, and supervise creation of technical materials for afloat and ashore network platforms.
Oversee development of equipment manuals, appendices, and operating/maintenance instructions.
Supervise writers producing documentation for ADNS, CANES, ISNS and related systems.
Support development/validation of Type II and Type III manuals.
Oversee IETP per DoD/NAVWAR guidelines and S1000D 4.0.1.
Manage TMOP including S1000D, Contenta, XPP, and Live Content apps.
Support ULSS and SOM development.
Ensure completeness/accuracy through reviews.
Review information for FAMs, FIBs, and MSUs.
Link system documentation to shore sites and platforms.
