Job summary

Booz Allen is seeking a Technical Editor to review intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, and syntax, and to ensure style and format conform to agency standards. The role requires applying specialized vocabulary and updating tables, graphics, and tone boxes for consistency with the accompanying text.

The candidate will work to ensure proper classification markings and collaborate with authors to revise as needed, with mentoring and learning opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of national security classification procedures.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and to adjust as priorities change.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in technical editing of finished intelligence products within the IC, or 7+ years of experience in technical editing within the IC in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Review intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
• Check logic, clarity, and consistency with prescribed style guides.
• Amend draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to support the text.
• Ensure proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
