Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Technical Editor to support a federal client’s research communications and publications. The role oversees editorial processes, staff, and the full lifecycle of technical documents from concept to final publication.

You will ensure technical accuracy, accessibility, and style compliance across diverse materials. You will lead editorial teams, coordinate with researchers, engineers, and stakeholders, and drive publication readiness for print, digital, and web

Qualifications

10+ years in technical editing, publishing, or editorial roles.
Master's degree in English, journalism, or a technical field.
US citizenship and ability to obtain public trust.
Experience leading editors and managing publication lifecycles.

Responsibilities

Lead editorial review and publication management for reports, newsletters, and websites.
Oversee editorial process for high-visibility publications and ensure consistency.
Mentor editors and writers; manage workflows and version control.
Edit, proofreading, rewriting, and fact-checking of technical content.
Verify citations, copyrights, and publication requirements.
Translate research findings into clear publications for diverse audiences.
Ensure 508 compliance and adherence to style guides.
Coordinate reviews with researchers, legal reviewers, and stakeholders.
Publish across print, digital, and web platforms.
Work onsite at Washington, DC client site and Arlington, VA office.
