WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Global Football Chassis team develops seasonal silhouettes adopted by licensed partners for global performance. The Sr. Technical Designer will collaborate with Design, Product Management, Product Creation Center (Asia), materials, and manufacturing to execute product development and fit goals.

You will report to the Senior Manager of the Global Football Chassis Team.

The candidate will stay informed about market trends, team goals, new technologies, and consumer needs throughout the development process, ensuring projects meet corporate standards and objectives.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in technical design, textile science, or related field; additional product creation experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in technical design within the apparel industry, including pattern making, grading, construction, materials, costing, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience interpreting design intent and providing alternative solutions.
  • Experience writing product specifications and construction standards.
  • Experience collaborating with factory vendors to improve manufacturability.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, CAD Pattern Design software (Optitex), and 3D software (Clo/Browzwear) is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, domestically and internationally.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will oversee fit and construction from initial concept to production for styles on the Global Football Chassis team, covering Men’s, Women’s, and Youth categories. Collaborating with Design, Product Management, Material Development, and the PCC, you will tailor products to specific consumer and athlete needs. Your responsibilities include:

  • Creating and updating Tech Packs for assigned styles, maintaining all development documentation including product specs and prototype notes.
  • Ensuring consistency by executing fit and construction standards across product groups.
  • Tracking and facilitating prototyping to ensure timely development and delivery aligned with critical dates, specifications, sustainability, performance, and profitability goals.
  • Identifying and addressing key construction and manufacturing challenges to deliver tested, proven products.
  • Monitoring and communicating progress and issues during product testing to meet quality standards.
  • Leading fit sessions in-house or on-site, with confidence in presenting to audiences.
  • Innovating sport apparel through on and off-pitch products, emphasizing quality and performance.
  • Collaborating closely with design teams to develop concepts, conduct athlete feedback sessions, and integrate with the Apparel Weartest Team.
