Job summary

AGBO is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to help bring the vision to life by building and implementing memorable, player-defining experiences. You will play a key role within a cross-disciplinary team, contributing to innovative event design and ensuring a high-quality player experience.

Based in Raleigh, NC, this role collaborates with engineers, animators, VFX, and sound, using Unreal Engine Blueprints to drive major features from concept to in-engine execution, with in-person collaboration

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of professional game design experience with multiple shipped titles.
• Broad knowledge of and real passion for games across genres.
• Experience on online games with live operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive the design vision, documentation, and implementation of major features from start to finish
• Implement designs in Unreal Engine using Blueprints, working hand in hand with engineers, animators, VFX, and sound
• Support collaborative, iterative prototyping from early concepts through in-engine execution
• Participate in playtests, gather feedback, and find practical solutions to design challenges
• Contribute to big-picture decisions and partner with other designers to keep the team focused on the highest-impact work
• Perform other duties as assigned

About the Company:

Founded in 2017 by Anthony and Joe Russo, AGBO is an artist-led independent studio shaping the future of film and television. The Russo Brothers and AGBO have generated more than $7 billion at the global box office, including Avengers: Endgame. The studio’s projects include Academy Award–winning Everything Everywhere All at Once, Netflix hits The Gray Man and Extraction, and Prime Video’s visceral thriller The Bluff and the global Citadel franchise. Citadel Season 2 premieres in May 2026.

AGBO is currently in production with Netflix on Tygo and Mercenary, both part of the Extraction universe, as well as with Lionsgate on John Rambo, a prequel to the iconic franchise. • Participate in playtests, gather feedback, and find practical solutions to design challenges

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5-8 years of professional game design experience with multiple shipped titles
• Broad knowledge of and real passion for games across genres
• Experience on online games with live operations
• Solid familiarity with multiplayer game design
• Clear understanding of player motivations, behavioral patterns, and engagement systems
• Adaptable and solutions-focused, with the ability to move quickly when priorities shift
• Strong communicator who can align cross-disciplinary teams and take ownership of collaborative outcomes

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• This role is based in Raleigh, NC, and we are primarily seeking candidates who are currently located in the area or are open to relocating. In-person collaboration with our technical and creative teams is essential to the success of this position.
