Job summary

Reformation is seeking a Senior Technical Designer specializing in women's apparel at our Vernon, CA office. The successful candidate will master fit on dresses and elevated ready-to-wear, bringing factory experience and technical precision to a collaborative, mission-driven team.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree and 8–10+ years in Technical Design, with expertise in pattern making, grading, construction, and trims. Strong overseas factory experience is preferred. On-site schedule M-F.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 8–10+ years in Technical Design.
• Extreme attention to detail and ability to prioritize and decide quickly.
• Knowledge of construction, grading, pattern making, silhouettes, color ways, sewing techniques, fabrication and trim; print design familiarity.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with integrity.
• Experience with overseas factories.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage garment specifications and standards in PLM for designated categories.
• Oversee product lifecycle from concept to final production approval, including fit and grading.
• Build tech packs with specifications, construction, and digital patterns for factories.
• Inspect samples against quality standards and communicate revisions to factories.
• Execute fit comments to align with production timelines.
• Review graded nest patterns and issue grading guidelines post-fit.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to solve issues.
