Small clothes. Big attention to detail.

I’m hiring a Childrenswear Technical Designer with a sharp eye for fit, strong garment construction knowledge, and the technical skills to turn a design concept into a production-ready piece.

If you can spot a fit issue, map out the correction, and give a factory clear direction to get it right, let’s talk.

The role:
  • You’ll guide styles from pre-fitting through production fit approval, partnering with the Director of Technical Design to achieve the right fit, silhouette, and construction.

  • Make corrections that count. Use garment patterns, diagrams, and precise fit comments to communicate adjustments while preserving the intended design.
  • Keep development moving. Partner with Production on sample approvals, track outstanding corrections, and support Time and Action deadlines.
  • Garment measurement and spec evaluation: Assessing points of measure and identifying discrepancies between samples and specifications.
  • Fit analysis: Understanding balance, proportion, silhouette, and how a garment sits and moves on the body.
  • Pattern interpretation: Connecting fit issues to pattern adjustments and communicating the changes needed.
  • Garment construction: Evaluating seams, stitching, and assembly methods to help resolve execution issues.
  • Tech packs and graded specs: Preparing accurate technical documentation and supporting consistent fit across sizes.
