Senior Technical Designer - $105K-$125K

Technical Design Job Opportunity (Manhattan, New York)

Looking for a Technical designer (7+ years), Denim Experiences are plus. Responsibilities Qualifications : Specializing in Denim & all silhouette tops and bottoms. Must have 7+ years experience with leading Fittings, pattern correction, initial developmentspecs required and being comfortable with grading.

Initiate Proto Stage Size Specs:

  • Define initial size specs for prototypes, ensuring alignment with design and target marketneeds.

Pattern Correction Using Optitex:

  • Utilize Optitex to correct and adjust digital patterns based on fit feedback and productionneeds.

Analyze Fit Issues & Propose Solutions:

  • Identify and resolve fit issues during development and production, providing actionablesolutions.

Expertise in Pattern Making & Garment Engineering:

  • Apply knowledge of pattern-making, grading, and garment construction for assignedcategories.

Proactive Problem-Solving:

  • Identify potential production, quality, and costing issues early and provide recommendationsfor resolution.

Escalate Issues with Analysis:

  • Escalate unresolved issues, providing root cause analysis and possible solutions.

Track Deadlines & Coordinate with Production:

  • Monitor deliverables to ensure timely completion, collaborating with production teams to prevent delays.

Attend Fit Meetings with Buyers:

  • Participate in fit conference meetings with buyers to discuss garment fit and construction.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technical designers to improve their skills.

Analyze Store Samples as per Buyer’s Request:

  • Evaluate store samples to ensure alignment with buyer’s specifications, providing insights forimprovements or adjustments.
