Job summary

Nexight Group is looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to support government initiatives in the mining industry. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience, particularly in areas such as mining and mineral processing. This role offers the flexibility of in-person, remote, or hybrid work arrangements.

The position includes a competitive salary range of $125,000 to $175,000 along with comprehensive benefits like health insurance and 401(k) contributions.

Qualifications

• 12 years of work experience in mining, mineral processing, and/or extractive metallurgy operations.
• 10 years of work experience is acceptable if the candidate has a master’s degree.
• 6 years of experience is acceptable if the candidate has a PhD.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, strategic, and communications support across multiple initiatives.
• Support review of high-impact funding applications.
• Advise on performance metrics and milestones for technology projects.
• Analyze and synthesize research data and author reports.
• Support collaborative projects and decision-making.

Skills

Experience in mining and mineral processing

Management of applied research projects

Communication and writing skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering
