Appian is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead end-to-end delivery of complex automation for public sector clients from our HQ in McLean, VA.
You will mentor junior consultants, architect integrations with REST, SOAP and JDBC, and drive data modeling and platform adoption across teams.
A 3+ year track record in software delivery or technical consulting is required, with a Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering and up to 20% travel.

As a Senior Consultant, you will step into a pivotal leadership role at the intersection of public sector strategy and modern technical innovation. This is your opportunity to move beyond isolated coding tasks and own the end-to-end delivery of highly visible, complex enterprise systems. You will lead small engineering teams, architect robust integrations, and serve as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders - enabling enterprise organizations to achieve true Enterprise-Grade Orchestration.

The base salary range represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant work experience, qualifications, internal peer equity, and market and business conditions that exist when extending an offer. A discretionary bonus may be awarded in recognition of individual and company performance.
