Senior Technical Buyer - Onsite or Remote

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Technical Buyer. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services, negotiating contracts, analyzing market trends, and building relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products at optimal prices.

Responsibilities

1. Obtain quotes, prepare price analysis, and make recommendations.
2. Negotiate price, delivery, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers.
3. Prepare purchase orders aligned with negotiations and organizational goals.
4. Maintain data integrity regarding lead times, delivery, and costs.
5. Manage inventory levels and review demand patterns.
6. Source and develop new suppliers.
7. Coordinate expediting processes with suppliers to meet critical delivery requirements.
8. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
9. Monitor supplier performance through scorecards and audits.
10. Support department and company objectives with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Relevant certification (e.g., CPSM) or 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with RFQs, purchase orders, and procurement software (ERP/MRP/QMS).
• Background supporting engineering, quality, and production teams.
• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field (preferred).
• Experience with BOM management, engineering drawings, and technical data (desired).
• Proven procurement experience, negotiation skills, and knowledge of industry standards (AS9100/ISO9100).

Additional Details

• Travel: Up to 30% for supplier visits and related activities.
• Work authorization: Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information.
