Job summary

Securian Financial Group in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technological solutions within Enterprise Cybersecurity Solutions. The role partners with stakeholders to translate objectives into clear requirements and ensure delivery of secure, scalable capabilities.

You will lead discovery sessions, develop user stories with acceptance criteria, and drive documentation quality across teams, influencing change and delivering measurable impact

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar role.
• Understanding of APIs, system integrations, databases, and data flows.
• Experience with cloud platforms or enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong facilitation skills with the ability to ask insightful questions, uncover hidden requirements, and drive clarity among diverse stakeholder groups.
• Proven ability to organize complex information into structured, actionable documentation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders, program/project managers, architects, engineers, and subject matter experts to understand business objectives and translate them into actionable requirements.
• Lead discovery sessions, interviews, workshops, and process reviews to uncover business needs, identify root causes, and define desired outcomes.
• Gather, analyze, document, validate, and manage business and functional requirements.
• Write clear, concise, and testable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria that enable development teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Break down large initiatives into epics, features, and user stories, ensuring work is organized, prioritized, and ready for delivery.
• Bring structure to ambiguous or loosely defined requests by identifying missing information, clarifying assumptions, and documenting requirements in a consistent and organized manner.
