Job summary

CoStar Group in Arlington, VA is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst for the Enterprise Data Services – Finance (EDS‑F) team. This is a hands-on role where you will gather requirements, write user stories, and validate data using SQL daily.

You will serve as the primary liaison between EDS‑F and engineering, product, Finance, and Accounting, guiding intake, scope, and design reviews while translating business needs into technical terms.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of analyst experience.
Ability to write and run SQL queries and join tables independently.
Experience documenting requirements and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
Experience with process modeling and cross-team liaison.

Responsibilities

Elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for EDS‑F initiatives.
Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria for engineers.
Query and profile data with SQL to confirm assumptions and validate results.
Document as‑is and to‑be processes with diagrams and flow charts.
Review API contracts and data payloads with engineers.
Support user acceptance testing with defined scenarios.
