Job summary

Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) is seeking a Technical Designer to advance architectural and engineering design intent, lead technical documentation, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams across all project phases. The role emphasizes quality control, code analysis, and innovative design solutions within established budgets.

You will collaborate with Senior Designers, Project Managers, and Project Architects, while mentoring team members and contributing to sustainable design

Qualifications

Completion of a professional degree in Architecture or a related field.
Licensed in Architecture; LEED or other green building accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

Contributes to technical resolution and innovation across all project phases.
Coordinates design solutions with all disciplines.
Leads quality control and documentation.
Supports energy, water, and carbon use tracking where applicable.
