Job summary

Pega Systems, Pegasystems, Inc., is seeking a Senior Cloud Consultant to shape cloud-native architectures and lead technical discussions with clients. The role emphasizes collaboration with senior management, architects, and developers on multiple challenging projects.

You will apply Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud technologies to design scalable solutions, while aligning with client goals and Pega’s product roadmap. This remote role supports US California clients and global opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience deploying cloud-native workloads and Kubernetes-certified (CKAD/CKA/CKS) or cloud-provider certs.
• Minimum 3 years in architecture, containers, and cloud technologies driving client success.
• Understanding of clustered deployments and distributed systems.
• Experience deploying software in containers (Docker).
• Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle and NoSQL (Cassandra).

Responsibilities

• Influence and drive Pega Cloud evolution as a service.
• Support high-level architectural specs and integration with large clients.
• Produce conceptual/logical architectures and risk assessments.
• Evaluate new technologies for current and future projects.

What You'll Do at Pega:

• Impact and drive Pega to help us with our Pega Cloud \"as-a-Service\" evolution
• Help support high-level architectural specifications, ensuring functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms with large clients.
• Generate conceptual/logical architectures, and risk assessments
• Evaluate new and emerging technologies and determine applicability to current and future projects and markets
• Communicate with a team of developers, consultants, product owners, and Pega clients about project progress and risk, presenting alternative approaches and plans when appropriate
• Review technical architecture for integration with third party technologies

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science (or related experience/field)
• Desired experience in deploying, and running cloud native workloads using Kubernetes, microservices, and other cloud native technologies; certifications in Kubernetes (CKAD, CKA, CKS, AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience driing technical and non-functional requirements critical to achieving the client success. This includes (but is not limited to), Architecture, Containerization, and cloud technologies.
• Good understanding of applications in clustered deployments and distributed systems
• Experience deploying software in containers like Docker
• Knowledge of databases including Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and NoSQL (Cassandra)

What You've Accomplished:

• You are a Certified Kubernetes Administrator
• You possess a thorough knowledge of technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Infrastructure, Application Servers, Relational, non-Relational and NoSQL Databases, Java / J2EE, ElasticSearch, Kafka, HazelCast
• You provide thought leadership to team members, partners and clients across business and technical dimensions

Additional Information

Base salary range for this role is 113,800 - 176,500 USD annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.

The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
