Job summary

Silvaco, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Accounting Manager to lead complex U.S. GAAP accounting areas, including revenue recognition and lease accounting. This hands-on role develops accounting entries, schedules, and close-related activities in a fast-paced environment.

The position reports to the Corporate Controller and requires a CPA with public accounting experience, plus a track record of process improvements and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Active CPA license with experience in a national public accounting firm preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting experience, including supervision.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience preparing technical accounting memos and disclosures.
• ERP experience with Sage, SAP, Oracle or NetSuite is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review accounting entries, reconciliations and supporting documentation for technical accounting areas.
• Ensure proper revenue recognition for contracts, including ASC 606, ASC 718 and ASC 842.
• Review lease accounting (ASC 842) including right-of-use assets and lease liabilities.
• Support annual financial statement audit and provide expertise as needed.
• Prepare quarterly schedules (cash flow, stock-based compensation) and related disclosures.
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assess impact to the organization.
• Maintain and improve internal controls over financial reporting.

As the Senior Technical Accounting Manager, you will have an opportunity to:

• Prepare and review accounting entries, reconciliations and supporting documentation for more technical accounting areas, such as ASC 606, 718 and 842.
• Ensure proper revenue recognition for customer contracts and various sales arrangements. Including subscriptions, reserves, chargebacks, sales allowances and deductions.
• Review and maintain lease accounting (ASC 842), including right-of-use (ROU) assets and lease liabilities.
• Perform and support other general accounting activities as directed
• Ensure consistent application of accounting guidance and company accounting policies. Oversee, improve and standardize accounting and process documentation.
• Support annual financial statement audit and lend expertise as needed.
• Prepare quarterly filing supporting schedules, such as cash flow, stock base compensation, and others
• Support evaluation of accounting implications of significant or strategic transactions.
• Research and interpret complex accounting guidance under U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare and maintain technical accounting memoranda supporting accounting conclusions and positions.
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assess potential impacts to the organization.
• Support internal control compliance including maintaining effective internal control over financial reporting.

Qualifications

You Have

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Active CPA license, with experience in national public accounting firm.
• 8+ years’ experience in accounting, including experience supervising others.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience preparing technical accounting memos and reporting disclosures.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, Oracle or Netsuite a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Demonstrated talent for improving processes and a mindset for continuous improvement.
• Strong work ethic, a sense of urgency and unquestioned integrity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.).

Additional Information

TheUS base salary rangefor this full-time position is $104,753 to $167,605. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.

Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
