Job summary

Google Cloud is hiring a Senior Technical Account Manager in San Francisco to guide customers through onboarding and complex transformation journeys. You will manage consulting engagements, coordinate across enterprise leadership, and ensure delivery across dispersed teams, accelerating cloud adoption.

The role requires leading customer journeys, aligning with business goals, and driving execution with engineering and support partners to achieve customer success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in a customer-facing role managing customer technical implementations or transformation programs.
• Experience supporting customers in cloud operations and cloud consulting.

Responsibilities

• Accelerate customer adoption of Google Cloud by leading the implementation journey and managing timelines, milestones, migration goals, and transformation strategies.
• Advocate for customer needs to unblock adoption and drive feature development across multiple workstreams and teams.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs, roadmaps, and lead quarterly business reviews with executives.
• Plan customer events and launches, partnering with Support, Engineers, and SREs to ensure success and guide issues/escalations to resolution.
• Develop best practices and assets from engagements to scale through partners and accelerate Google Cloud adoption.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in a customer-facing role working with stakeholders, managing customer technical implementations or transformation programs.
• Experience supporting customers in cloud operations (e.g., launch or capacity planning, product release management), cloud technical support, cloud escalation management, or cloud consulting.

Preferred qualifications

• MBA or Master’s degree in a Management, Technical, or Engineering field.
• Experience translating business requirements into technological solutions.
• Experience in application or workload migration to public cloud providers.
• Experience collaborating with teams, groups, business units, channel partners, systems integrators, and third-party developers to deliver solutions.
• Understanding of IT operations, database systems, networking, IT security, application development, service architecture, cloud-native application development, hosted services, storage systems, or content delivery networks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, problem-solving, and client management skills.

• Accelerate customer adoption of Google Cloud by leading the implementation journey. Provide technical guidance and manage timelines, milestones, migration goals, and business transformation strategies.
• Advocate for customer needs in order to overcome adoption blockers and drive new feature development. Lead across multiple workstreams and teams to maintain customer momentum.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders to understand the customer’s business, develop roadmaps, and lead quarterly business reviews and executive sessions to better understand business and technical needs.
• Plan for customer events and launches, partnering with Support, Engineers, and Site Reliability Engineers to ensure customer success, and work with customers and Support to guide issues/escalations to resolution.
• Develop best practices and assets based on learnings from customer engagements to support initiatives to scale through partners and accelerate Google Cloud adoption.
