Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Tech Support Specialist for a fully remote, 24/7 role within Optum Technology's Enterprise Security division. You will serve as an L1.5 escalation point for enterprise security, gateway infrastructure, IAM, MFA, SSO, and privacy issues, coordinating with Tier 2/3 teams and maintaining strict security SOPs.

3+ years of technical support or helpdesk experience
3+ years delivering customer service in high-stress phone environments
2+ years troubleshooting enterprise security infrastructure
Experience with 24/7 shift-based operations

Responsibilities

Serve as L1.5 SME and escalation point in 24/7 support for enterprise security and data privacy
Evaluate escalations, identify privacy/security risks, define resolution paths
Multitask across real-time call queues, ticket workflows, and security tools
Document call notes and escalation details accurately while on calls
Triage privacy incidents and access management related issues
Adhere to SOPs and compliance workflows
Leverage AI tools to streamline workflows
Investigate root causes for security and authentication failures
