Job summary

Vultr is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join our Technical Support team and serve as the senior technical resource for Vultr’s strategic and VIP customers. You will own the most complex issues across Kubernetes, GPU infrastructure, and the wider enterprise stack, driving resolution and root cause analysis.

This role requires senior Linux systems expertise, strong customer-facing skills, and the ability to train peers while expanding depth in assigned technical domains across the

Qualifications

• Senior Linux system administration experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across enterprise stacks.
• Strong communication with strategic/VIP customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Respond to complex customer inquiries and provide technical guidance.
• Directly engage with strategic customers via email, Slack, Zoom, and video conference.
• Develop deep expertise in Kubernetes, GPU infrastructure, virtualization, or enterprise networking.
• Train engineers in advanced Linux troubleshooting and in architectures of strategic accounts.
• Author and maintain advanced troubleshooting docs, runbooks, and knowledge base content.
• Support Customer Success Managers by providing technical inputs for quarterly reviews.
• Identify recurring issues and drive incident resolution with engineering and account teams.
• Act as the escalation point for strategic and VIP accounts and own incidents through root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with system administration, engineering, and data center teams to resolve platform-level problems.
• Provide 24/7 coverage during peak activity and participate in shift-based on-call rotations.
