Job summary

Appian is seeking a Senior Procurement & Contracts Analyst to own technology vendor sourcing, intake governance, Purchase Order (PO) execution, and Vendor Contract Management (VCM) workflow governance. You will triage procurement requests, lead negotiations, generate POs in our P2P system, and manage contract flows to ensure cross-functional approvals occur smoothly.

The role sits at the intersection of Procurement operations, financial execution, and risk governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• 4–6+ years in corporate procurement, strategic sourcing, P2P, or contracting.
• Strong knowledge of P2P, PO processing, and cross-functional triage workflows.
• Ability to operate with ambiguous requirements and drive consensus.

Responsibilities

• Drive inbound procurement intake and triage with governance rules and SLAs.
• Negotiate terms, lead commercial sourcing, and manage PO creation.
• Oversee VCM workflows, approvals, and digital signature policies.
• Coordinate cross-functional risk alignment with Legal, Finance and IT.
• Deliver FinOps analytics and executive reporting on spend, PO volumes, and renewals.
