QuantumScape in San Jose, CA is seeking a senior technical leader to scale up solid‑state cathode fabrication for larger‑format ASSB builds. You will define the path from lab‑scale demonstrations to production‑ready processes and mentor cross‑functional teams.

You will work with materials, tools, experiments, and process data to develop and troubleshoot cathode fabrication, set process windows, and translate results into actionable plans.

Formación

• Hands‑on experience in catholyte development for sulfide/halide/oxyhalide solid‑state batteries.
• Ownership of process scale‑up, tech transfer, or pilot‑line execution.
• Understanding of how process conditions affect material properties, yield and reliability.
• Knowledge of lab safety and controlled‑environment practices.

Responsabilidades

• Lead technical strategy and hands‑on execution for scaling solid‑state cathode fabrication.
• Work with materials, tools, experiments and data to develop, troubleshoot and improve processes.
• Define material/process requirements, windows, and control strategies to improve yield and cell performance.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for variability, defects, excursions, and performance issues.
• Translate data into clear technical recommendations and execution plans.
• Mentor cross‑functional teams across R&D, process engineering, manufacturing, quality, equipment, and supply chain.
