SSR, a leading engineering design and consulting firm, seeks a Senior Technology Consultant to lead the design of communication, cabling, audiovisual, and security systems on major construction projects. You will handle proposals, pricing, staffing, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with top technical quality.

Ideal candidates bring broad experience in healthcare design, low voltage systems, and strong collaboration with owners, architects, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, IS or related field plus 8 years of applicable experience OR 12 years of direct low voltage design experience.
• Registered BICSI, RCDD preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA and related codes and standards.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, and project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manages design of communication systems, cabling, audiovisual and security on large projects.
• Develops proposals, narratives, specifications, and client presentations.
• Creates project budgets and prioritizes spending based on forecasted technology costs and client needs.
• Performs engineering analyses and ensures conformance with design specs and codes.
• Maintains frequent client, architect, and contractor communications and conducts site visits.
