United Methodist Communities in New Jersey is hiring a Principal Technology Advisor for BEAM, a full-time role based at the Home Office in Neptune. The position offers $124,814 - $152,551 per year, plus commission opportunities.

You will lead portfolio strategy, risk, and board advisory practices, guiding clients through technology strategy, cybersecurity, AI governance, and transformation initiatives while building long-term executive partnerships across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, healthcare administration, management, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in technology leadership, consulting, program or project management, IT operations, cybersecurity, digital transformation, or related field.
• At least 5 years owning executive‑level relationships as a CIO, IT director, or senior consultant.
• Ability to maintain any license, credential, or authorization required for travel or client-site access.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary technology advisor for assigned clients, building trusted relationships with leadership, staff, boards, and strategic partners.
• Lead ongoing client engagement through regular meetings, proactive communication, action planning, and follow-up.
• Lead STRONG assessments (Strategy, Technology, Risk, Operations, Norms, Governance), CIS‑based cybersecurity scoring, budget analysis, and IT structuring reviews.
• Advise boards and executives on cyber risk, breach readiness, AI governance, and vendor diligence.
• Lead AI readiness, governance, and adoption, including policies, use‑case selection, and Copilot and AI literacy rollouts.
• Coordinate and oversee technology initiatives, including Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, automation, data, and integration projects.
• Expand within the portfolio by identifying the next service each client needs, and open new relationships through referrals and associations.
• Prepare proposals and project documentation and represent BEAM Advisors through speaking engagements and workshops.
• Turn repeated work into reusable BEAM assets and mentor BEAM specialists as they join.
