Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting experience.
• Experience managing tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee federal, state, and local tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and other business entities.
• Review complex income tax returns prepared by staff and senior accountants for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Research and analyze complex tax issues and provide practical recommendations to clients.
• Assist with tax planning and consulting engagements throughout the year.
• Manage multiple engagements and ensure deadlines, budgets, and client expectations are met.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, questions, and planning opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff and senior accountants.
• Review workpapers and ensure appropriate documentation and accounting standards are followed.
• Identify potential tax issues and opportunities and communicate findings to managers and partners.
• Assist with IRS and state tax notices, examinations, and other tax-related matters.
• Stay current on changes in federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Participate in firm initiatives and contribute to the continued development of the tax practice.
