Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Director of Tax for a Seattle-based energy technology company to lead tax strategy, compliance, planning, and reporting. This executive will advise senior leadership and build a scalable tax organization to support growth.

The role requires 15+ years of corporate tax experience, CPA, and strong leadership along with experience in partnerships, multi-state, and international tax matters. Travel to Seattle HQ will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA required with national public accounting experience.
• Broad tax experience in public and private companies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute tax strategies that support business objectives while minimizing risk.
• Build and scale the tax function; hire and develop the team as the company grows.
• Lead partnership taxation, including returns, allocations, basis calculations, and compliance.
• Oversee all aspects of federal, state, local, and international tax compliance.
• Manage tax accounting, including provisions, disclosures, and GAAP alignment.
• Lead tax audits, monitor regulatory developments, and oversee SALT matters.
