The position covers federal and state filings, GAAP and statutory tax provisions, forecasts, and support for audits, with an emphasis on accurate documentation and collaboration with Tax Management and external partners.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Alternative: 6 years of related experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
• Master's degree in MBA or Taxation is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Manage government mandated tax filings for Highmark Health and subsidiaries.
• Ensure timely completion and remittance of tax filings per deadlines.
• Prepare tax calculations and supporting work papers for filings.
• Identify issues and opportunities; provide resolutions to Tax Management.
• Oversee tax provisions (GAAP & SAP) for Highmark Health and subsidiaries.
• Coordinate tax forecasts and necessary calculations with documentation.
• Prepare financial statement disclosures related to taxes.
• Conduct tax research and planning; communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
• Assist in meetings with subsidiaries and external auditors; guide staff.
