Amgen is seeking a Senior Manager, Tax Reporting in Thousand Oaks, CA to lead quarterly and annual income tax provisions, ASC 740 guidance, and international tax matters. You will coordinate with Finance, Treasury, and Tax teams to ensure accurate reporting, tax compliance, and robust documentation.

The role requires advanced degree credentials and extensive tax provisioning experience, with a focus on global tax accounting and process improvements within a large multinational.

Competenze

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of analytics experience in Tax Reporting.
• Master’s degree and 4 years of analytics experience in Tax Reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of analytics experience in Tax Reporting.
• Associate’s degree and 10 years of analytics experience in Tax Reporting.
• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of analytics experience in Tax Reporting.

Mansioni

• Lead assigned components of the quarterly and annual income tax provision process, including prep and review of provision calculations and related entries.
• Serve as a technical reference point for ASC 740 questions and document guidance.
• Identify and analyze material provision items, including tax planning initiatives and acquisitions/divestitures.
• Coordinate with tax leadership to reflect material matters in the provision and international tax areas.
• Review international tax provision and compliance, including GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits, Subpart F, BEAT, and earnings and profits.
• Lead quarterly GILTI deferred tax accounting and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data flows affecting provision and returns.
• Prepare memoranda supporting conclusions for technical tax accounting and non-routine matters.
• Maintain SOX-compliant processes and audit-ready workpapers.
• Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and controls in tax workstreams.
• Provide guidance and training to tax professionals on ASC 740 and U.S. International tax matters.
• Complete special projects and support other Tax Reporting initiatives as needed.
