Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Senior Manager in its Alternative Investments practice to support tax compliance and consulting for venture capital, private equity, hedge funds and real estate clients. You will lead engagements, manage teams, and help develop new client opportunities.

The role requires extensive tax experience, supervisory ability, and credentials (CPA/EA/Attorney). Expect collaboration with partners and a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) or more years of prior tax experience and/or public accounting or consulting experience.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Experience with Financial Services/Alternative Investments funds (VC/PE/Real Estate/hedge funds) preferred.
• CPA, Attorney, or EA certification required; CFP or Masters in Tax preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax compliance engagements for venture capital, private equity, hedge fund and real estate clients.
• Provide tax consulting and strategy recommendations to clients.
• Manage engagement budgets, billing, and project staffing.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and pursue new opportunities.
• Supervise teams of managers, seniors and associates.
