Job summary

Abacus Group, LLC is seeking a Tax Manager/Senior Manager to lead complex tax work for diverse clients in New York. You will supervise junior staff, and collaborate with Client Advisory Services and Audit & Assurance to deliver compliant tax services across industries.

Maintain responsibility for planning, research, and timely filing; manage client accounts, deadlines, and tax law changes with a proactive approach. Strong writing and client communication skills required.

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years of experience in Individual, Trusts, Partnership, Estate, and Corporate Income Tax Returns with Commercial Industry Clients.
• Must have at least 5 years of supervising junior tax accountants.
• Experience with International and Non-Profit taxes is a plus.
• Strong accounting fundamentals, detail oriented, and proficient in tax software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns for Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Individual, Estate, and Non-Profit entities.
• Conduct detailed reviews of work product and apply tax law.
• Perform research and review, and prepare tax projections and planning objectives.
• Participate in tax examinations for individual and business clients.
