Research and analyze federal income tax issues, including partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, timing issues, accounting methods, digital assets, and other matters.
Assist with M&A tax structuring and internal restructuring.
Draft emails and memos.
Create firm-wide alerts on current developments in federal income tax.
Contribute to firm-wide training on federal income tax.
Assist with federal domestic tax due diligence related to M&A transactions.
8+ years of progressive federal income tax consulting experience (large law firm, large accounting firm, or IRS preferred).
J.D. and Tax LL.M.
Experience with partnerships, S corporations, and/or C corporations.
Strong analytical and writing skills.
Proficiency with tax research databases (e.g., Bloomberg BNA, RIA Checkpoint).

Salary ranges vary by location: in Minnesota and Illinois, between $140,000 and $270,000; in NYC and California, between $120,000 and $200,000. Actual compensation depends on experience and other factors.
