Job summary

Current in Scottsdale, AZ is hiring a Senior Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance, planning, and accounting while acting as a site/office leader. You will manage client engagements and provide superior service to high net worth clients, mentoring a local team and coordinating with alliance leadership.

The role emphasizes client service excellence, tax expertise, and strong leadership. In-office work five days per week with potential hybrid arrangements and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• CPA designation required or active CPA
• 7+ years in a CPA firm or public accounting environment
• Experience in tax preparation and accounting
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to engage with high net worth clients verbally and in writing
• Proficiency with MS Office and tax software (e.g., CCH/Engagement)

Responsibilities

• Oversee tax planning, preparation, review, compliance, and research
• Work with high net worth and UHNW clients, building relationships
• Lead tax software usage including CCH Tax, Practice, and Engagement
• Stay updated on tax laws and regulations and apply them to client needs
• Prepare various tax returns (Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, Multistate)
• Coordinate complex accounting projects with the accounting team
• Mentor and develop team members and provide feedback
• Serve as local site/office leader and support office operations and culture
• Support hiring, onboarding, and growth of local team members
• Promote engagement and collaboration across the local team
