Job summary

Megthink is seeking a Tax Manager for a well-established CPA firm delivering tax, audit and advisory services to closely held businesses, high-net-worth individuals and nonprofit organizations. You will lead tax engagements from start to finish, review complex returns, perform tax research, manage client relationships, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with firm leadership.

The role offers a relationship-driven, quality-focused environment with direct access to partners.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Active CPA license required.
• Strong review experience across major return types and demonstrated strength in tax research and planning.
• Experience with federal and multi-state taxation, closely held businesses, and high-net-worth clients.
• Stable employment history preferred, with minimal job changes.

Responsibilities

• Review complex federal and multi-state tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065, and 1041.
• Perform advanced tax research and planning for closely held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and partnerships.
• Manage long-term client relationships and oversee engagements for accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
• Supervise, mentor, and review work prepared by junior tax professionals.
• Collaborate with partners on complex tax matters and client strategies; participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance.
