This position is ideal for a technically strong tax professional who enjoys managing client relationships, overseeing complex engagements, developing staff, and providing proactive tax planning and advisory services.

The Tax Manager will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, review complex tax returns, and work closely with firm leadership on tax planning and client strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Review complex individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, trust, and estate tax returns
• Manage tax compliance engagements from planning through completion
• Develop and implement proactive tax planning strategies
• Work directly with business owners and high-net-worth individuals
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong client relationships
• Research and resolve complex federal, state, and local tax matters
• Review work prepared by staff and senior accountants and provide technical guidance
• Mentor and develop junior tax professionals
• Assist with workflow management, engagement scheduling, deadlines, and quality control
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and engagement efficiency
• Stay current on tax legislation and developments impacting clients
• Collaborate with senior leadership on complex client matters and advisory opportunities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience
• Strong experience reviewing individual and business tax returns
• Knowledge of federal and state taxation
• Experience working with closely held businesses, business owners, and/or high-net-worth individuals
• Prior experience supervising or mentoring junior tax professionals
• Strong communication, organizational, and client service skills
• CPA preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
