Job summary

Bluemount Financial LLC is seeking a dynamic Tax Manager to lead key client engagements and drive practice growth. You will prepare and review complex tax returns and resolve notices in collaboration with clients and regulatory agencies.

In this role you will supervise junior staff, design departmental processes, and act as the primary liaison with IRS and state tax authorities while delivering proactive tax planning and client communications to strengthen service delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive tax accounting experience.
• CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred.
• Experience preparing and reviewing complex individual and business tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns.
• Resolve federal and state tax notices by research and drafting responses.
• Direct month-end financial packages and quarterly external reporting.
• Drive process improvements by designing and implementing department best practices.
• Act as liaison with the IRS and state tax authorities to resolve issues.
• Spearhead special projects including system implementations and workflow enhancements.
