Job summary

KPMG is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join our Tax practice in Columbus. You will provide tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and partnerships, collaborating on ASC 740 calculations and tax provisions while guiding a team of tax professionals.

As a Senior Manager, you will manage risk and financial performance, mentor staff, and identify opportunities to grow the tax practice through cross-functional collaboration and client development.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation or law firm.
• Experience with corporate taxation, consolidations, ASC 740 and tax provisions.
• Prior experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and operating partnerships for a variety of clients from Fortune 100 companies to emerging businesses
• Collaborate with accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) and tax provision calculations
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, helping to provide industry knowledge and experience; manage teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects
• Oversee a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients; build and manage client relationships; advise clients and be responsible for delivering high quality tax service and advice
• Manage risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and project budgets
• Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm
