Job summary

William Vaughan Company in Maumee, Ohio is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our locally recognized, full-service accounting firm. You will manage client assignments, oversee federal tax compliance, and review returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts, delivering high-quality service.

You should have a degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or pursuing CPA, and a proven track record in tax research, planning, and complex return work.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA or working toward CPA certification.
• Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.
• Experience with tax research and technical knowledge.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple engagements under deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage client assignments and projects delivering high-quality service.
• Oversee complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects for various entities.
• Review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Ensure accuracy of tax provisions and supporting positions.
• Conduct tax research and provide effective solutions.
• Supervise and mentor tax associates and managers.
• Prepare tax planning approaches for client needs and situations.
• Maintain and develop client relationships with WVC clients.
• Participate in market and business activities external to the firm.
• Coach and support team members to meet client and developmental goals.
