Job summary

The Agency is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead complex tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals and business clients. You will supervise staff, ensure timely delivery, and maintain strong client relationships while providing strategic tax planning and advisory guidance.

This role requires deep technical knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to mentor junior staff in a fast-paced public accounting environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting, with a CPA, or a Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Broad experience in individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary taxation.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex tax engagements and client relationships.
• Proficiency with ATX tax preparation software is required.
• Strong technical research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
• Experience supervising and mentoring tax professionals.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and other entities.
• Provide comprehensive tax planning and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and closely held businesses.
• Oversee tax engagements from planning through preparation, review, and filing.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing tax-related questions and providing proactive guidance.
• Research complex tax issues and develop practical, technically sound solutions.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff, ensuring quality and timely completion of engagements.
• Monitor tax law changes and communicate relevant implications to clients and team members.
• Support business development and contribute to the growth of the firm's tax practice.
