SHR Talent is partnering with a client to search for a Senior Tax Manager to play a leadership role within its expanding Tax Services and Family Office platform. The Senior Tax Manager will serve as a trusted tax advisor to high‑net‑worth clients, lead complex tax planning initiatives, and act as a senior partner to Wealth Advisors across the firm. The Senior Tax Manager will have meaningful influence over strategy, client outcomes, and the continued growth of the tax function.
Responsibilities
- Lead tax planning and compliance for complex high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, and entities
- Review and oversee preparation of tax returns and related filings
- Develop and implement advanced tax planning strategies aligned with client wealth objectives
- Partner closely with Wealth Advisors, Family Office professionals, and Risk teams
- Serve as a senior point of contact for client tax matters
- Mentor and review work of Tax Managers and Associates
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and proactively advise clients
- Contribute to process improvement and best‑practice development within the tax platform
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), license, -required
- 8‑12+ years of progressive tax experience
- Deep experience with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and closely held entities
- Background in public accounting, family office, or integrated wealth management preferred
- Strong planning mindset with the ability to think strategically beyond compliance
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and influence cross‑functional teams
- Client‑first mentality with high professional standards
