Job summary

Andersen Tax is seeking a Manager for its Alternative Investment Funds practice in San Francisco to oversee and complete complex federal and state tax projects for a diverse client base, including private equity and real estate. You will ensure timely deliveries, maintain client satisfaction, and lead cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires 4+ years in accounting with at least 3 in Alternative Fund work, a relevant degree, and an IRS credential (CPA/JD).

Qualifications

• 4+ years relevant work experience in an accounting firm with at least 3 years in Alternative Fund work.
• Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree; Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree (Preferred).
• Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the IRS (e.g. CPA or JD).
• Self-starter with initiative to seek opportunities and ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume peak-season.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a growth mindset; and
• Proficient use of technology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct primary and secondary review of complex federal and state tax returns.
• Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, and stay current on legislative changes; lead change effectively.
• Engage in business development activities (proposals, webinars, cross-line marketing).
• Supervise, train, mentor and evaluate Seniors, Associates, and Interns.
