Job description

  • U.S. citizens or candidates legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire.
  • CPA certification required.
  • Ability to travel to client locations as needed, including occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in a public accounting firm or related field.
  • CPA certification required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and accounting/tax software such as QuickBooks and ProSystems (or similar).
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills with professionalism, poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and in collaboration with partners.
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to professional development.
  • Availability to work overtime as needed.

  • Provide value-added solutions to clients and manage overall client relationships.
  • Oversee and manage a significant volume of engagements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to budgets.
  • Identify opportunities to increase engagement efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop strong practice development skills through professional networking activities.
  • Manage workflow within the tax department and promote a positive work environment.
  • Provide timely coaching and performance feedback to staff, encouraging their career development.
  • Leverage partners' expertise and technical knowledge in client services.
  • Stay informed about general economic conditions, political trends, and legislative initiatives affecting clients.
  • Address unethical or inappropriate behavior and seek appropriate advice to resolve conflicts.
  • Contribute to high office morale and teamwork on engagements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other professionals, such as bankers and attorneys.
  • Participate in delivering proposals to acquire new clients or expand tax planning services.
