Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC seeks a Senior Tax Manager in the East Valley to supervise and mentor a small team while reviewing and signing federal and multi-state returns for diverse entities. Opportunities to grow toward the Partner level exist.

The base salary ranges from $140,000 to $175,000 annually, with benefits typical of a growing CPA firm in the East Valley.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required; Master’s in Tax is a plus.
• CPA designation is required.
• 10+ years of tax experience in public accounting, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Direct responsibility for reviewing and signing federal and multi‑state tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a small team; report to Tax Partners & Senior Managers.
• Review and sign federal and multi‑state tax returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, Individuals, and Tax-Exempt Organizations.

Job description

We are recruiting for a Senior Tax Manager with a growing CPA firm in the East Valley. This role will report to, and work closely with Tax Partners & Senior Managers, where you will be responsible for supervising & mentoring a small team as well as reviewing and signing federal and multi-state tax returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, Individuals, and Tax-Exempt Organizations. This is a great opportunity for a Tax Manager that wants to grow to the Partner level.

Base salary for this role is $140,000-$175,000.

Qualifications

• Batchelor’s degree in accounting required. Master's degree in Tax a plus
• CPA designation required
• 10+ years of tax experience in public accounting, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role
• Direct responsibility for reviewing and signing federal and multi-state tax returns
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing others
• Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships through proactive service
• High level of technical tax knowledge with ability to research and resolve complex issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with tax law and industry changes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to adapt to new technologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including direct client communications
• Experience with CCH Axcess and ProSystems Engagement preferred
