Senior Tax Manager

Job Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage complex tax engagements for a diverse client portfolio
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize clients' financial positions
• Provide expert guidance on federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
• Mentor and supervise junior staff, fostering their professional development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions
• Stay current with evolving tax legislation and industry trends
• Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and prepare technical memos
• Review and approve tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the firm's client base
• Contribute to the development of internal processes and best practices
• Represent the firm at industry events and professional associations
Skills Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• CPA certification and minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated experience in client relationship management
• Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality
• Willingness to adapt to changing tax landscapes and embrace new technologies
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
