Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our progressive Accounting and Finance team. This is a unique opportunity for a talented individual to lead and manage multiple operations of the tax practice area and to deliver quality tax services that will increase the firm's reputation. You will serve as business advisor to our clients aiming at maximizing engagement and achieving qualitative outcomes.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for the following

• Supervising and leading the tax department and managing the tax provision and tax compliance process.
• Expanding and strengthening relationships with existing clients, and developing and nurturing new client relationships.
• Reviewing complex income tax returns including Corporate, S Corp, partnership, and individual clients.
• Developing and mentoring staff by providing constructive on-the-job feedback/training, and fostering an innovative and team-oriented work environment.
• Researching and consulting on various tax matters; utilizing tax-related software to prepare and process returns and research tax matters.
• Responding to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities in a timely manner.
• Identifying and mitigating tax risks.
• Coordinating ad-hoc tax-driven business initiatives.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Senior Tax Manager position will have the following qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree preferred (e.g., Master's in Taxation, JD, and/or LLM).
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Tax Review, Federal & State Tax, High Net Worth, and Corporations.
• CPA certification is a must.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
• Analytical skills with the ability to think out of the box.
• Proficient use of applicable technology, specifically Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
