Responsibilities

Senior Tax Manager

Our Client is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Tax Manager to lead all aspects of the organization's tax function. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for managing tax compliance, income tax reporting, tax strategy, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with proven leadership skills and the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams in a complex international environment.

Position Summary

The Senior Tax Manager will oversee the company's income tax operations, including compliance, tax accounting, planning, transfer pricing, and audit management. This individual will play a key role in developing and executing tax strategies that support business objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The successful candidate will bring a proactive, solutions-oriented approach and a strong commitment to continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Reporting
  • Oversee all global income tax compliance activities, including U.S. federal, state, and international tax filings.
  • Lead the preparation and review of annual and quarterly income tax provisions in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Manage deferred tax calculations, tax disclosures, and related financial reporting requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, estimated payments, and extensions.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and documentation supporting tax compliance and reporting activities.
Tax Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and implement tax planning initiatives designed to optimize the organization’s effective tax rate while maintaining compliance and managing risk.
  • Analyze the impact of evolving domestic and international tax regulations on business operations.
  • Provide strategic tax guidance related to business initiatives, acquisitions, restructurings, and other corporate transactions.
  • Evaluate and manage uncertain tax positions and emerging tax risks.
International Tax & Transfer Pricing
  • Oversee global tax structures and cross-border transactions.
  • Manage transfer pricing policies, documentation requirements, and compliance activities.
  • Partner with finance and operational leaders to ensure intercompany arrangements align with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
  • Monitor international tax developments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation and optimization.
Audit & External Relationships
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities on income tax matters.
  • Lead global tax audits, examinations, and inquiries.
  • Manage relationships with external tax service providers and consultants across various jurisdictions.
Leadership & Process Improvement
  • Lead and develop tax resources while fostering collaboration across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Drive process improvements and technology enhancements to increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy within the tax function.
  • Collaborate closely with accounting, finance, legal, and operational stakeholders to support organizational objectives.
