GPAC is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead its public tax practice in Derby, Kansas. You will guide a team of tax accountants, deliver high-quality tax compliance and consulting services, and drive client success across diverse industries.

The role emphasizes leadership, strong ethics, professional development, and strategic client relationships within a growing firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.
• Master's in Taxation is highly desirable.
• CPA certification required or in process.

Performance Expectations

• Oversee and manage a team of highly motivated tax accountants
• Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of clients
• Oversee complex tax projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries
• Meet regularly with business and community contacts to maintain a network within the local market
• Provide timely and complete evaluations and counseling for the staff accountants
• Be a hands on leader

Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or Equivalent
• Master of Science and Taxation degree (highly desirable)
• CPA Certificate
• 5+ years of proven experience in public accounting, in a tax supervisory role
• Must be able to lead and motivate a team of highly motivated individuals to a final goal
• Must have strong multi-tasking skills
• Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bi-lingual is desired
