Job summary

Merceradvisors is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join its Atlanta, GA Tax Team. The role focuses on preparing income tax returns for high-net-worth clients and entities, with an emphasis on client service and accurate projections.

You will work in a collaborative environment, balancing remote work with periodic office visits. The team values strong communication, multi-tasking, and staying current on tax law changes; CPA/EA status is preferred and experience with tax software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-3 years of public accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Moderate tax code knowledge with general accounting skills.
• CPA and/or EA preferred.
• Master’s degree in Tax a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts and businesses.
• Create quarterly estimates and projections.
• Communicate clearly with clients on tax delivery.
• Perform tax research and analyses.
• Coordinate with tax staff to ensure timely workflow and data integrity.
• Respond to tax notices and draft correspondence.
• Stay updated on tax law changes and implications for clients.
