Qualifications

• Real tax experience with 3+ years in public accounting tax
• Individual and entity returns experience
• Strong accounting brain with ability to read financial statements
• Excel power-user with formulas, lookups, pivots
• Attention to small details and accuracy
• AI and automation curiosity to improve workflows
• Clear communication and sound judgment
• Busy-season stamina for peak filing periods
• Multistate tax experience a plus
• Experience serving veterinary-industry clients is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, local returns for individuals and entities
• Build clean, complete workpapers with support and reconciliations
• Link practice, real estate, and individual filings to tell the same story
• Reconcile balance-sheet accounts and tax-related items
• Enter and validate data in UltraTax CS or comparable platform
• Identify missing information and deadline risks early
• Assist with extensions, estimates, e-filing, notices
• Advise on scope changes and new work with supervisor
• Support planning and document findings for clients
