Job Description

About the Role:

DWG CPA PLLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Tax Associate to join our growing tax team. In this role, you’ll take the lead on preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returns, collaborate closely with a small team, and contribute to process improvements. This is a fully remote position with occasional in-person team events in the Houston area.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on tax work, values flexibility, and is looking for a clear path to future leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
• Assist with tax planning and research for clients across various industries
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate filings
• Communicate with federal and state tax authorities on behalf of clients
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and workflow efficiencies
• Support client relationships with a focus on responsiveness and service
• Participate in special projects and firm initiatives as assigned
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s in Taxation a plus)
• Active CPA license or CPA eligibility preferred
• 4–6 years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and compliance
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop; ProConnect Tax Online is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
