DHJJ in Naperville, IL seeks a Tax Senior to join our team and help manage complex returns. You will research, analyze, and respond to client tax questions, while mentoring associates and supporting principals on billing and project delivery.

You should have CPA status or be pursuing it and enjoy working with clients to diagnose and solve tax issues in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• CPA candidate preferred and related tax experience.
• Strong research and problem-solving for client issues.
• Ability to manage multiple complex tax returns with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex returns (individual, trust, estate, partnership, and corporate).
• Understand client businesses to diagnose opportunities and suggest solutions.
• Maintain responsive client communication to influence and motivate.
• Organize project activities within scope and budget.
• Assist with billing, realization, and collections.
• Coach Associates on skills, systems, and processes.
• Provide tax research and draft IRS responses.
• Collaborate on special projects with leaders.
